Welcome to the most technologically advanced hospital in Waterloo Region

In January, Cambridge Memorial Hospital officially opened our doors to the completely renovated patient care area — Wing B. This was a major step forward in local healthcare and marks the completion of the largest healthcare investment in the history of Cambridge and North Dumfries.

Our ribbon cutting ceremony opened with an Indigenous blessing by Clarence Cachagee, followed by remarks from Premier Doug Ford and regional leaders who spoke to the importance of accessible, high-quality care.

Over 2,000 curious community guests showed up to celebrate our opening, and to tour our Future Ready hospital.

The new wing adds nearly 400,000 square feet of new and upgraded space. This milestone reflects years of planning, construction, and most importantly, the generosity and loyalty of our donor community.

To recognize this incredible support, the Foundation hosted many intimate unveiling celebrations as part of the community open house. More than 30 families, guests and corporate partners joined us for this emotional moment; one filled with pride, gratitude, and a shared commitment to keep care close to home. In total, we installed more than 65 donor plaques in the new Wing B, representing over $1.6 million in donor contributions towards local healthcare.
