On Wednesday, January 22, the Cambridge Chamber’s Salute to Women Luncheon once again raised funds for CMH’s Breast Reconstruction Program.
“We recognized the growing number of women in business in our community, over 60% of our clients are female. Our Women in Business Luncheon offered us a great opportunity to give back and make a difference for those important women in our business Community,” says Greg Durocher, President and CEO, Cambridge Chamber.
The event welcomed 250 guests and exceeded its goal, raising $16,000 from the event and silent auction! The selection included 60 items donated by local businesses. The success of the event and silent auction, supported by local businesses and women leaders, was truly inspiring.
Since 2008, the silent auction held at the annual event has raised over $150,000, helping us bring essential equipment and innovation to the program, ensuring patients receive the best care possible.
“The breast reconstruction program hit home with us as a meaningful place to put our resources. We are proud of our women in business, and we are also proud of Cambridge Memorial Hospital and all the wonderful capable staff that keep us healthy,” Greg added.
Last year, CMH added the region’s first highly advanced DUG free flap procedure to our Breast Reconstruction Program, further advancing the care we provide. This innovation is one of many over the years that has helped enhance breast reconstruction facilities in Waterloo Region. Every advancement gives patients more options. Learn more about it here.
A heartfelt thank you to the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce and all the generous donors who continue to recognize the importance of breast reconstruction in our Community. Your ongoing support directly contributes to the growth and enhancement of the program each year.
