Karen retirement 2025

Exciting Staff Updates at CMH Foundation

We’re bidding a bittersweet farewell to Karen Seeley, our beloved Controller and office mom, who has been the heart of our finance operations for 27 years. Karen will retire in June to enjoy more time golfing and focusing on her personal pursuits. We’ll miss her dearly!

We’re also thrilled to welcome Lisa Maenpaa as our new Director of Finance. With a strong background in nonprofit and finance, Lisa comes to us after 11 years at the University of Waterloo and previous experience with global nonprofit organizations. Join us in welcoming Lisa to the team!

Why Local Care is Important to the Chens

May is Asian heritage month in Canada. As we celebrate this month, we’re proud to share the story of Grace and James Chen: long-time Cambridge residents and proud members of the Taiwanese community, whose journey is one of resilience, community connection, and heartfelt support for their local Hospital.

Read our conversation with the Chen’s and how they navigated healthcare as new immigrants below.
