Our hospital to launch shared Health Information System
Cambridge Memorial Hospital (CMH) and Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN) are launching a shared Health Information System (HIS) this fall to improve patient care and streamline services. The new digital system will connect healthcare teams across both organizations, ensuring safer, faster, and more coordinated care.
By adopting the same Oracle platform used by WRHN since 2019, CMH will enhance its ability to provide seamless care while maintaining strong local connections. The system will allow healthcare providers to access patient information securely, leading to better decision-making, reduced duplication, and improved continuity of care.
This partnership aims to modernize healthcare delivery, making it more efficient and patient-centered across the region.

Congratulating our hospital peers on the Choosing Wisely designation
CMH has been recognized as a Choosing Wisely Canada hospital at the Quality Improvement (QI) Status level. Choosing Wisely Canada is the national voice for reducing unnecessary tests and treatments. Earning this designation is a testament to CMH’s commitment to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.
This designation was made possible through the leadership and collaboration of staff across disciplines—a journey in the making since 2022.

Coming soon to your inbox- this year’s Community Report
This past year has been transformational at CMH, and as we reflect on this journey we’re nothing but grateful to have our community by our side and help shape the future of local healthcare.

Honouring Truth and Reconciliation
On September 30th, CMH will observe Truth and Reconciliation Day. We acknowledge that the land on which CMH is situated are the traditional territories for the Anishinaabe, the Haudenosaunee and the Chonnonton. We also acknowledge that Indigenous Peoples have been stewards of this land since time immemorial. We recognize their connection to this land, and thank their Elders — past and present — for their many contributions.
CMH is committed to advancing Indigenous health equity and continuing our journey toward Truth and ReconciliACTION.
