On October 8, 2026, CMH Foundation welcomed our Ambassadors, hospital board members, Volunteer Association representatives and Foundation board members to Langdon Hall for our annual Ambassador and Board Roundtable Social.
The evening brought together a diverse group of CMH champions who share a commitment to strengthening healthcare in our community. The beautiful Thursday evening provided an opportunity for our Ambassadors to connect with our leadership and hear firsthand about some of the important initiatives, innovations and future plans shaping patient care at CMH.
Throughout the evening, attendees had the chance to connect with one another, ask questions and learn more about the advancements happening at CMH and the role their ongoing support plays in helping meet them.
Guests heard updates from Patrick Gaskin, CMH President and CEO, Lisa Short, CMHF President and CEO. Jenifer Visocchi, Director of Pharmacy and Supply Chain at CMH and the guest speaker for the night shared interesting facts about Pharmacy, its history and evolution.
Highlights from Jennifer Visocchi’s speech – a look inside CMH Pharmacy’s transformation
Jennifer Visocchi shared an engaging behind-the-scenes look at the hospital’s pharmacy program and its ongoing transformation.
Drawing on 30 years of experience in hospital pharmacy, Jennifer highlighted how the role of pharmacy has evolved from dispensing medications to becoming an integral part of patient care across CMH. Today, our hospital’s Pharmacy team includes more than 50 staff members working every day to ensure patients receive the right medication, at the right dose, at the right time.
Jennifer also shed light on the department’s six-milestone transformation roadmap, which was designed to:
- Modernize pharmacy services
- Strengthen medication safety
- Prepare the hospital for future growth
She shared how four major milestones have already been completed, including:
- Embedding pharmacists directly within clinical program
- Implementing a robust medication reconciliation process
- Modernizing medication-distribution technology
- Preparing for the launch of our integrated database system called Health Information System
One of the most anticipated updates shared with guests was the upcoming implementation of the new Health Information System, which will create a connected digital pathway for the Pharmacy by upgrading processes like medication ordering, verification and administration. This technology will also enhance patient safety and improve workflow efficiencies for care teams across the hospital.
Jennifer also spoke about the two major projects that remain on the Pharmacy team’s roadmap: the creation of a new main pharmacy space and the renovation of the hospital’s Sterile Preparation Room, where chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments are prepared. These investments will help ensure CMH can continue providing safe, high-quality and personalized cancer care close to home while meeting evolving regulatory standards and supporting future growth.
CMH Foundation’s gala, CMHReveal: Midnight in Monaco will be supporting the Pharmacy. Proceeds from the sponsorships and tickets from the gala happening on February 26, 2027 will fund renovations for the Sterile Preparation Room to enhance the safety of our staff and patients. Guests will enjoy an evening inspired by the glamour and sophistication of the French Riviera, along with live music, interactive games and help make healthcare the talk of the town!
