This Remembrance Day, we pause to honour the brave folks who served our Country with courage and sacrifice. At CMHF, we also recognize and respect the enduring support of the Royal Canadian Legion (RCL), whose generosity has had a profound impact on our Community’s healthcare.
Since 1986, the RCL has been a true partner in our mission, beginning with a donation from Branch 121. Over the years, nearly 10 RCL Branches have come together to contribute over $1 million to CMH to help purchase essential equipment, including our recent fundraising for a state-of-the-art MRI machine.
Our Legion partners are also long-standing donors to our annual Trees of Caring campaign, that is soon beginning. This year the RCL Branch 272 Ladies Auxiliary has renewed as a silver star sponsor once again, participating in some way for nearly all the 36 years that our Trees of Caring has been a tradition.
This incredible support reflects the same spirit of service and dedication that defines our Veterans. Through their generosity, the RCL continues to serve our Community, ensuring our Hospital has the resources and equipment needed to provide exceptional care close to home.
On this Remembrance Day, we remember those we’ve lost, honour those who’ve returned, and express our deepest gratitude to the Royal Canadian Legion. Their legacy of support is a reminder that the spirit of service lives on in every act of generosity that helps strengthen our Community.
