During this rapidly evolving situation, I want to assure you that Cambridge Memorial Hospital (CMH) is closely monitoring the impact of COVID-19 within Cambridge and Kitchener-Waterloo Region.
CMH is well prepared to respond and continues to follow all current direction from the Ministry of Health and Public Health Ontario. A very small number of cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) have been diagnosed so far in Waterloo Region, none in Cambridge. Currently, the risk of contracting COVID-19 in the Waterloo Region remains low.
Our hospital has strong infection prevention and control protocols at all times. As this situation continues to evolve, they are taking all necessary precautions to keep patients and staff protected.
Please consider delaying visits to see a loved one at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. If possible, please do so over the phone. If you must enter the hospital, please remember to clean your hands with the hand sanitizer provided and follow instructions posted at all entrances.
If experiencing even mild symptoms of COVID-19 – fever, cough, or difficulty breathing – you are asked to stay home and call Region of Waterloo Public Health first at 519-575-4400.
