Since 1964, BWXT Canada has been more than just a neighbour to Cambridge Memorial Hospital— they have become a Caring Business and an essential part of the Hospital’s donor community.
We are excited to announce a recent donation of $10,000 from BWXT, during their recent tour of Cambridge Memorial Hospital, reinforcing their commitment to local healthcare.
The BWXT team toured the Hospital to see recent developments at CMH, especially the Diagnostic Imaging department as BWXT’s medical division grows.
President of BWXT Canada, John MacQuarrie and a dedicated CMH Foundation Ambassador since 2017 says, “BWXT is proud to be a longstanding partner of Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Our contributions reflect our commitment to supporting our local community members and ensuring vital access to healthcare.”
BWXT has been supporting CMH for over 35 years and as a Caring Business is committed to invest in their Hospital to make sure the Community receives the best healthcare close to home. The organization exemplifies how to embrace their social responsibility.
This contribution continues a legacy of generosity that includes a historic contribution from the late Bob Cunningham, a key member of BWXT’s leadership team.
Bob’s remarkable support for CMHF, including a historic $1 million gift to the WeCareCMH campaign, set a standard for philanthropy in our Community. His total contributions now exceed $3 million, making him the largest individual donor in CMH’s history.
Over the years, BWXT has supported various Hospital initiatives, including Spotlight MRI, the Capital Redevelopment Project and our COVID-19 preparedness efforts. We are incredibly grateful for their ongoing support and commitment to CMH Foundation.
