On November 7, we hosted an event to celebrate our incredible CMH Champions—our donors, supporters, and community partners—who have made a lasting impact on CMH.
Lisa Short, our Executive Director, began the evening by expressing heartfelt gratitude to everyone whose generosity has helped bring essential equipment and tools to CMH.
Patrick Gaskin, President and CEO of our Hospital, shared some exciting updates, including CMH receiving the Ontario Health (TGLN) Hospital Achievement Award and the completion of our massive Capital Redevelopment Project that was only possible because of our Community’s support. He also invited everyone to our CMH Community Open House on January 11, 2025. All are welcome to visit and tour our new spaces between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
Dr. Donna Kolyn, General Surgeon, CMH, was our keynote speaker for the night. She shared a powerful presentation on the evolution of breast cancer and breast reconstruction treatments over the last 30 years, that earned her a standing ovation from our guests.
Her insights showcased the progress CMH has made in providing advanced, compassionate care to everyone facing this journey.
She also noted the clear connection between Community donations and purchased medical equipment and tools that surgeons use each and every day.
