Help your community prepare – an update from CMH

Because of you our community will receive exceptional care close to home.

The continued spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Canada and around the world has understandably raised concerns for all of us. As a valued donor, CMHF is sharing this information with you.

Cambridge Memorial Hospital is closely monitoring and preparing for what lies ahead. Because of you our hospital is well prepared to respond, and continues to follow all current direction from the Ministry of Health and Ontario Public Health.

As our clinical staff focus on the screening and care of patients, our Foundation is working diligently to ensure that they are supported in their critical work – keeping you and your family safe and well cared for.

Below are ways you can support your community hospital during this time.

How You Can Help CMH:

1) Donations Towards Equipment

Donate online one our “donate page” and help us stay ready. Community dollars fund 100% of the equipment at Cambridge Memorial Hospital.

COVID-19 continues to impact all of us and especially our frontline CMH team. Because of you and your generosity over the past year, our team is the most prepared they have ever been to be here for you and your family.

Community health needs continue – babies will be born and medical emergencies will arise along with responding to COVID-19. At this critical time, our hospital is so appreciative of your ongoing support.

2) Donations of Needed Supplies

We don’t need these items today, but as this continues we may be seeking donations of the following items:

• Bottled Hand Sanitizer (at least 70% alcohol)
• Masks (Level 3 and up)
• N95 Masks – 3M 9105/9105S/1870 + respirator /8210/8110S
• Disposable gowns, caps, shoe covers
• Nitrile gloves – in sizes small, medium, large, extra large

We will be keeping a list of all interested donors to call on should we need these supplies.

Supplies must be in original, sealed packaging.

If you think you can help, please direct all supply inquiries to Kathy Wilson at [email protected].

3) Practice Social Distancing

The Region of Waterloo encourages all residents to practice social distancing. Social distancing involves taking steps to limit the number of people you come into close contact with.

These measures help protect yourself and others in our community. We are all in this together.

Community Leaders

Our community has truly stepped up during these unprecedented times. Let’s celebrate some good news stories in our community.

Giving Spirit – Hand Sanitzer Donation from Dixon’s

A huge thank you to Dixons Distilled Spirits for supporting CMH Staff in these unprecedented times.
Dr. Michelle Chang came in to the distillery this week to pick up her first shipment of sanitizer for our local front line staff.

Sweet Treats for CMH Staff

Support can be offered in many ways! Dva’s Custom Cakes & Treats dropped of some much needed fuel for CMH Staff. The treats were so delicious they were gone before we could get a photo (and yes, all precautions were taken in sharing this treat!)
