Giving Tuesday #whowillyouhonour / 1

Tuesday November 30th

Giving Tuesday is a global movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Black Friday. The “Opening day of the giving season,” it’s a time when charities, companies and individuals join together and rally for favourite causes. In the same way that retailers take part in Black Friday, the giving community comes together for Giving Tuesday.

This Giving Tuesday make a donation in honour or memory of someone special in your life. Donate now #WhoWillYouHonour

Every light you purchase on Giving Tuesday will go towards ensuring that CMH has the best equipment and technology.

Access to innovative equipment and timely care, will help us meet the growing needs of local families. Community dollars fund 100% of the equipment and technology in our hospital. Your support is critical to ensuring the best in class care is delivered close to home, when you need it most.

I have chosen Anne Lovett-Hutchinson, a dear friend from Ayr to honour this year. Anne was diagnosed with uterine cancer in the spring. Following surgery, she continued with treatments all summer.

As I dealt with a similar scare many years ago, it brought back memories. Sharing my story with Anne brought huge comfort to her, and she hopes that someday she can reach out and bring hope to others.

Help us reach our goal of $25,000 and make your online gift now in honour or in memory of someone special.

If you would like to take your giving a step further you can create your own personal fundraising page here.

Encourage friends, family members and colleagues to donate to your page and honour someone special to them.

Who will you honour?

Kate Cressman
Chair, CMH Foundation Board

A message from Waterloo/Wellington Community Haul.

"Ok, we've got some exciting news to share with you!

When we started Waterloo-Wellington Community Haul, we quickly realized how much more there was to showcase all over Southern Ontario, and that we could pack even more community punch by expanding who we put in our boxes.

We have decided to hand the Waterloo-Wellington CH reins over to our friends at Hamilton-Halton Community Haul, who will be taking over from here on out, and creating the Southern Ontario Community Haul. A haul filled with goodies from all over Southern Ontario, delivered right to your door, every month like always.

If you are a current subscriber, watch out for your email for more details on what this means and what exciting things are in store!
