At CMHReveal, Dr. Eugenio, Chief of Emergency Medicine at Cambridge Memorial Hospital spoke about one of his more memorable nights working in the ER. Dr. Eugenio described this night as “the ultimate story of doing what needed to be done to save 2 lives, drawing on years of training and the expertise of the team that quickly came together for this family.”
On this particular night, Alicia and Thomas were expecting their first child when she went into labor ten weeks early.
Alicia had preeclampsia and began to seizure multiple times; she would eventually end up in a coma and still has very little memory of what happened that night. Here is part of her story.
